Tuesday 27th November  Wolves 0 Millwall 1 Keogh 79 ko 7:45pm

Millwall striker Andy Keogh returned to Molineux to haunt his old club as faltering Wolves failed to win at home for the sixth game running.  Keogh's 79th minute close-range strike stretched the Lions' unbeaten run to 12 games and lifted Kenny Jackett's men to fifth in the  Championship. But it did little to ease the pressure on Wolves boss Stale Solbakken.
His side have now gone nine matches without a win to slip to 18th, drawing chants of 'What a load of rubbish'.
In front of their worst home crowd in four years, Wolves' misery was compounded by a hand injury to keeper Carl Ikeme.
ON A ROLL
Wolves' nine-match run without victory is the longest current winless streak in the Championship and has seen them drop from third to 18th.
Millwall are on the longest unbeaten run in the Championship - 11 games without defeat and four successive victories.
Wolves looked anything but the most out-of-form side in the division early on as they ripped into Millwall.
With Bjorn Sigurdarson the chief threat, they created a string of early chances, the closest of which saw Bakary Sako's shot deflected over for a corner.
But Millwall looked menacing on the break, Keogh going down the inside-left channel to set up a great chance for on-loan West Bromwich Albion striker Chris Wood, who was slow to react.
And full-back Adam Smith was only just off target, powering a right-foot shot into the side netting.
The second-half was a different story as Millwall pressed strongly, Wolves taking until the 75th minute to have another shot at goal when Dave Edwards' fierce right-foot shot flew just over
But, four minutes later, Keogh pounced to increase the home fans' frustrations and fury.
Wolves manager Stale Solbakken told BBC Sport:
"For the first 25 minutes, we were easily the best team. We went at them and created big chances.
"But the second half was probably the worst we have played. We looked nervous and a lot of it was very untidy.
"There's only one man to blame and that is me and I have to sort this quickly. It's not normal that players of this ability should make so many tactical and technical mistakes.
"But I still feel that I am the right man for this job and am full of confidence that I can turn it around. And I am sure that the players are right behind me."
Millwall manager Kenny Jackett told BBC Sport:
"It's certainly a better feeling than the last time I was here [a 5-0 League Cup defeat 15 months ago].
"In the first half we looked flat and lacked energy. And, for 20 minutes, Wolves looked very strong.
"But, in the second half, we looked in control and you could see the goal coming
"I'm really pleased for Andy Keogh. He had two goals disallowed on Saturday, neither of which I thought was offside, so he was owed one tonight."

TEAM NEWS

Wolves manager Stale Solbakken will assess Bakary Sako (thigh) and Tongo Doumbia (fatigue) before naming his squad to face Millwall at Molineux.
Captain Karl Henry definitely misses out as he sits out the final game of his three-match suspension.
Millwall manager Kenny Jacket will be without James Henry for the fixture after the winger picked up his fifth yellow card of the season.
Liam Trotter (hamstring) and Darius Henderson (hamstring) remain doubtful.
VIEW FROM THE TRAINING GROUND

Wolves manager Stale Solbakken told BBC WM:
"Millwall have been the best team in the Championship in the last eight games and we have been the worst. We have to change that.
"Saturday's game against Forest was typical. We played some good stuff but they scored with their first chance but, after they scored their second goal, maybe you could feel that we did not have the confidence.
"Five to six weeks ago, our defending was close to perfect. We have to get back to that stability.
"The fans are entitled to have their opinions. And we must play better but players who come through runs like this can grow. "
MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head
•These clubs are going toe-to-toe for the first time in a league match in seven seasons, although Millwall lost 5-0 on their last visit in the League Cup 14 months ago.
•Millwall's 2-1 victory on their last Championship visit to Molineux in September 2005, overseen by former Wolves boss Colin Lee, was only their third league win at Molineux - and their second in as many seasons.

Wolverhampton Wanderers

•This match is being staged on Stale Solbakken's 200th day in charge.
•Wanderers have opened the scoring in a joint divisional-best 12 games, but have also dropped an unmatched 17 points from winning positions.

•The Lions top the Championship's "form" table, with 16 points out of 18, and have only conceded twice in November.
•Former Wolves striker Andy Keogh is on the cusp of a 300th career league appearance.

Sat 24th November  Wolves 1 Sigurdarson 5′ v Notts Forest 2 Sharp 16′ Guedioura 57′

It just had to be fans’ favourite Adlene who got us... as well as Sharp who Mick couldn’t persuade to join the Wolves

Adlene Guedioura returned to Molineux to hit the winner for Nottingham Forest against his former club, who have now gone eight matches without a victory. Hosts Wolves had taken an early lead when the ball deflected to Bjorn Sigurdarson, who finished superbly. Forest soon levelled as Billy Sharp controlled a long pass and slid his shot under goalkeeper Carl Ikeme. Both sides had chances in a fluctuating encounter before Guedioura fired in an unstoppable shot from 25 yards.

Wolves might have thought their fortunes were changing when Jermaine Pennant's attempted pass to Kevin Doyle deflected off a Forest defender into the path of Sigurdarson, who took full advantage. But Doyle had a shot blocked and Forest soon levelled when Sharp collected Henri Lansbury's long, diagonal pass and recorded his fourth league goal of the season. The first half continued to provide opportunities for both sides, Simon Cox shooting narrowly wide for the visitors and Forest keeper Lee Camp denying Sigurdarson with a superb save from point-blank range.

However, Wolves started slowly after the break and it was not long before they were behind again.  Guedioura's ferocious shot into the top corner was worthy of winning any match but the Algeria international did not celebrate against the club where he spent three seasons - although his strike was applauded by some sections of the home support.  A rare Wolves attack resulted in Bakary Sako shooting over the crossbar and substitute Sylvan Ebanks-Blake headed straight at Camp late on, but Stale Solbakken's side now lie 17th after their fourth defeat in five matches this month, while Forest are on the fringes of the play-off places.

Saturday 17th November  Watford v Wolves v ko 3pm

It's those stupid blue shirts what does itOh, and Berra's early shirt swapping attempts - it’s surprising it’s taken so long for him to get caught.  Being seen on tv for Scotland probably didn’t help..

Troy Deeney's fourth goal of the season saw Watford past 10-man Wolves and continued their improvement under manager Gianfranco Zola.  Wolves defender Christophe Berra was sent off for a challenge on Deeney before Nathaniel Chalobah turned home from 12 yards to open the scoring. The visitors levelled against the run of play when Bakary Sako fired past Manuel Almunia from around 35 yards. But Watford won it when Deeney headed in a Mark Yeates cross from six yards.  The Hornets, who won 6-1 at Leeds last time out, are still unbeaten in November, while Wolves have not won in seven games. Zola said in the build-up that his side were ahead of schedule in terms of their development, and they proved it against a team relegated from the Premier League last season.  There was little to choose between the teams early on, but the game changed when Berra received a straight red card after 25 minutes.  Although Jermaine Pennant was sacrificed for defender Danny Batth, Watford took control and Jonathan Hogg went close from distance.  And the Hornets soon led as Chalobah applied the finishing touch after impressive work from Fernando Forestieri. Daniel Pudil saw his 20-yard shot blocked by Roger Johnson, while a drive from Forestieri cleared the crossbar and Hogg shot wide. Wolves reached half-time without any further damage though, and they managed to level after the break through Sako's special strike. Forestieri and Pudil went close to restoring the hosts' lead, both men being denied by Carl Ikeme in the Wolves goal. Sako tried his luck again, this time from 30 yards, but his left-foot effort was blocked by Yeates as Stale Solbakken's side showed fight. But they were caught out when Deeney converted a Yeates centre to make it 2-1 and Watford held on.

Watford manager Gianfranco Zola:
"Although they were playing with 10 men, we created a lot of chances and we had good opportunities.
"It is fair to say they put a lot of pressure on, especially in the last 10 minutes, but we certainly played a good game and there were spells in the game when we played very good football. Nobody can say it wasn't a deserved win.
"The consistency of the results is certainly improving and that is such an important thing in terms of confidence. We just need to carry on and we want to extend this little run longer."

Wolves manager Stale Solbakken:
"I think I agree with everyone who say it's a very harsh one. They thought a little bit about first coming to the ball and then the Watford player comes through one-against-one and he shoots and Carl Ikeme saves and everybody thinks it's over.
"There's no appeals from anyone, from a Watford player or even the dugout, and I think the referee just created a problem for himself after that but that's his decision.
"We started with 3-4-2 and then got a goal, went back and played 4-4-1 and 4-3-2 and I think we had to change a little bit to make sure we were higher up the pitch than we were in the first half."

MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head
•Watford and Wolves have each won 12 of 40 previous competitive meetings spanning 100 years.
•Wolves ended a nine-match winless league run against the Hornets with a 3-2 victory in their last corresponding fixture in October 2008. They then completed a Championship double with a 3-1 triumph at Molineux three months later.
•Watford have only been beaten three times by the Black Country club in league games at Vicarage Road.
Watford
•Watford are coming off a 6-1 away win over Leeds and, if they can add to the seven points picked up in the last three games, it would be their most productive sequence of the season.
•The Hornets have scored nine fewer league goals at Vicarage Road than they have on their travels (eight at home, 17 away). It is the widest such dichotomy in the Championship.
•Lloyd Doyley is hoping to make his 350th start in Watford colours.
Wolverhampton Wanderers
•Wolves are chasing a first win in seven league games, to take their points tally to 25 to equal the total accrued in last season's unsuccessful Premier League campaign.
•They are also eager to avoid four straight away defeats, last suffered in December 2011.
•Stephen Ward is looking to play in his 200th Wolves league game and Christophe Berra in his 250th career league match, while David Edwards could make a 100th start for the Molineux club.

Saturday 10th November  Wolves 3  Brighton 3 ko 3pm

Wolves 3 Sako 22′Doumbia 61′Johnson 90′  Brighton 3 Mackail-Smith 43′ Buckley 72′ Dobbie 89′ (pen)

RJ scores his first goal after Capt Karl is stupidly sent off, ref lets Brighton get away with foul to score and then gives daft penalty.  Meanwhile Dave Edwards made his 250th League Appearance and Jez is going to have to fork out for repairs to the dugout after Stale punches a hole in it.

Roger Johnson's last-minute equaliser rescued a point for 10-man Wolves against Brighton in the Championship.
The hosts led twice, through Bakary Sako and Tongo Doumbia, either side of Craig Mackail-Smith's equaliser.
By the time Doumbia struck Wolves were without Karl Henry after he was sent off for a tackle on Liam Bridcutt.
Will Buckley quickly equalised for the Seagulls, who thought they had won it through Stephen Dobbie's late penalty, only for Johnson to rescue Wolves.

Only two points separated the sides before kick-off but so congested is the Championship that Wolves began the day in 13th, Brighton were on the periphery of the play-off places in eighth.
Despite a slow start, Wolves took the lead against the run of play midway through the first half when Sako was played in by Kevin Doyle at the end of a superb passing move and he slotted past Tomasz Kuszczak from 12 yards.
Mackail-Smith equalised from a similar distance just before the break, capitalising on Bruno Saltor's pass to find the top corner.

That goal angered Wolves boss Stale Solbakken, who punched a hole in the roof of the dugout in frustration, but he was doubtless even more unhappy moments later when Henry was shown a straight red card for a poor challenge.

Despite finding themselves in the bottom half of the table, there is no doubting Wolves' spirit, and they took the lead on 61 minutes when Doumbia scored superbly from 25 yards.
But Brighton made their one-man advantage count when Buckley's low shot beat Carl Ikeme. Dobbie then converted from the spot with a minute remaining after Christophe Berra was controversially adjudged to have handled.
There was still time for a Wolves response, though, and it came from an unlikely source as Johnson rose superbly to power in a header, earning his side a hard-fought point.
Brighton manager Gus Poyet told BBC Sussex: "It's disappointing. We let too many people down today, it wasn't my team out there today. First you need to do the basics, it wasn't good enough. Whatever the position you play, you need to be aware of the basics in football. Unfortunately we didn't do this and it's a bad day today.  Against 10 men it was very, very easy. It's not good enough.

MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head
•  Wolves are aiming to take their unbeaten league run against Brighton to five (W2, D2).
•  The Seagulls have won six and lost two of their 10 league visits to Molineux.
•  Even so, Brighton have only picked up two points out of 12 on their second level league travels to the black-country club, since an odd goal in five victory in January 1991.
Wolverhampton Wanderers
• Wolves are without victory in five (D2, L3); their longest winless sequence since ending last season's relegation campaign from the Premier League on a 14-match run without a maximum.
•  Only two of their six Championship wins have been against top-half clubs.
•  If involved, David Edwards will be making his 250th career league appearance.
Brighton & Hove Albion
•  The Seagulls are hunting their first back-to-back wins since completing five in a row on 22 September.
•  Three points would provide Brighton's 100th away win in second level league football, and see Gus Poyet celebrating his third anniversary in charge on a winning note.
•  Championship games involving the south coast club have generated a league low 30 goals (19 for, 11 against), all four defeats have been 0-1, and they have failed to score in six matches - only Peterborough match that.
•  Gordon Greer could make his 100th Brighton appearance.

Tuesday 6th November   Hull City 2 (Aluko 29 Simpson 51) v Wolves 1 Chester 67 (og) ko 7:45pm

Jay Simpson's second-half goal sealed Hull City's fifth win in six matches as they moved up to fourth place in the Championship by beating Wolves.  The Tigers led through Sone Aluko's precise free-kick after 29 minutes, before Simpson doubled their advantage at the KC Stadium from an acute angle.  Wolves reduced the deficit through James Chesters' second-half own goal. But the visitors could not find a second, and drop into the bottom half after their fifth match without a win. Hull boss Steve Bruce, who applied for the Wolves manager's job in February only to be overlooked in favour of Terry Connor, has seen his team take 18 points from 24 in their eight home matches this season.  Following a slow start to the game, his side began to up the tempo and created the first chance when Ahmed Elmohamady's cross was headed wide by Liam Rosenior.  But it proved only a momentary reprieve for Stale Solbakken's side. Rosenior was fouled by Tongo Doumbia just outside the Wolves penalty area and Aluko stepped up to curl a 20-yard free-kick around a poorly positioned wall and into the bottom corner.  Wolves tried to respond quickly and were denied an equaliser when home goalkeeper Ben Amos raced off his line to block Dave Edwards's toe-poked shot. Six minutes after the break, Simpson produced a moment of brilliance to score Hull's second. With Robert Koren's pass seeming likely to run out of play, Simpson kept the ball alive before steering a powerful shot across goal and in off the far post for his sixth goal of the campaign.  However, Wolves' prospects improved when Tigers defender Paul McShane allowed a weak cross through his legs and, after a scramble, the unfortunate Chester diverted into his own net.  The goal lifted the away side for the final quarter of the game, Bakary Sako's deflected free-kick flying over the bar and Kevin Doyle narrowly failing to connect with Stephen Ward's cross, but they failed to find an equaliser.
Hull boss Steve Bruce on whether beating Wolves was particularly sweet:
"Not really, it's football. At one time thought I was close [to going to Wolves], but it's gone, it's history, I'm just pleased we've got the result. We were so comfortable and made two mistakes really, one from the goalkeeper, and a miskick from Paul McShane. It made it a bit more nervy than it needed to be.  Overall, with the quality of the two goals we scored, we probably deserved it."
Wolves manager Stale Solbakken:
"We were a little bit unlucky. They scored one brilliant goal, I don't know how the second one went in.  We're having a bad spell at the moment, but we have to toughen up and don't feel sorry for ourselves and keep on playing.  It's a crazy division at times and we're not doing well enough in it, we're not picking up enough points and we have to improve in that department."

Wolves manager Stale Solbakken told BBC WM:
"Saturday was our worst performance in the 10 games this team has been together.
"The last three games we have been at our poorest and we have to make sure it ends there.
"You have to handle good and bad spells in a season. Everyone was very happy four games ago. Now suddenly everything [isn't as good] and we have to live with that.
"Hull play good football. Obviously they are on a high after winning a lot lately and we are maybe not, so we have to make sure we

are there right from the beginning."

• This is the first meeting of Hull and Wolves since the 2009/10 Premier League campaign, when both matches were drawn.
• Wolves are chasing a first win in five matches against Hull, and a first maximum on the road against them since the odd goal in

five Championship victory in February 2006.
• Hull's highest ever aggregate score was registered against Wolves in a 13-goal game in December 1919, which the Tigers won 10

-3 at home. They need to score once more to total 100 competitive goals against them.
Hull City
• Hull are targeting a fifth win in six games.
• They have only opened the scoring in four of their 14 Championship matches, but did go on to win all four games.
• The Tigers are yet to take a point off a top-nine club.
Wolverhampton Wanderers
• Wolves have picked up two points from a winless last four, and one win in six.
• Opponents have scored the opening goal in only four of their 14 league games, which is the fewer than any other club.
• Stale Solbakken's men also have the second tightest away defence in the Championship, with eight goals conceded in seven

games; only Brighton have been more miserly with five shipped.

Saturday 3rd November  Burnley 2 Paterson Austin v Wolves 0  ko 3pm

Wolves might just as well have had some claret to perk them up before this game which again had Wolves old boys - Jason Shackell and Sammy Vokes lining up against us.  Woeful defending - Johnson trying to get himself sent off for a kick on Austin, while Foley was miles behind Paterson for the first and no-one was anywhere near Austin for the second.

Sean Dyche made a dream start to his reign as Burnley boss with a convincing victory over a lacklustre Wolves side.Martin Paterson gave the Clarets an 18th-minute lead and Dean Marney should have doubled the hosts' advantage before half-time at Turf Moor. Prolific striker Charlie Austin was left unmarked to head in his 19th goal of an already phenomenal season, as Wolves' defence threatened to unravel.   Bakary Sako rattled the post for Wolves but Burnley saw out time comfortably.  This was a second successive home clean sheet for the Clarets and will offer further encouragement to Dyche as he begins his efforts to cure the Lancashire side's defensive woes. In contrast there were few positives for Wolves manager Stale Solbakken as his side dropped to ninth in the Championship table, one point above Burnley in 13th.  The Clarets were on top from the off. In the fifth minute centre-back Michael Duff swept the ball forward and, after some neat interplay, Ross Wallace fizzed a left-footed effort over from the edge of the box.  Wallace was perhaps fortunate to stay on the field moments later, as he was shown a yellow card by referee Mark Haywood moments after clipping the heels of Kevin Doyle as the Wolves forward broke clear. However, the hosts took the lead soon after when left-back Ben Mee found Paterson with a clever pass around the back of the Wolves back four, which the striker gathered and fired beyond visiting goalkeeper Carl Ikeme. Wolves came close to levelling when Sako dragged a shot across the face of goal and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake almost stole in with the vital touch. Sako almost dragged his side back into the match when he drove forward and slammed a shot against the upright.  Burnley's momentum was interrupted in worrying fashion when Wallace went down following an aerial challenge with Jermaine Pennant. He received oxygen on the pitch and left on a stretcher, to be replaced by Danny Ings. Wolves failed to force the issue as the clock ran down and Clarets substitute Sam Vokes almost increased the misery for his former club in stoppage time.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche: "It was a fantastic start. I spoke about bringing about a one-club mentality and that's a good way to start when a big club like Wolves come to town and you get a nice win and a clean sheet.  The players have been very honest, they know there is work to be done and there is still work to be done but it was more a case of realigning them. "They're good people and are very honest and they know what they can do and some of the things they haven't been doing well."

Wolves manager Stale Solbakken: "It was a bad performance overall until there were 15 or 20 minutes left.  When they scored the goal they were on top and I changed it around and at the end we had chances to score but it was one of those days.  I must say that players who for a long time had been rock solid had off days and I probably picked the wrong team. All the players tried as hard as they could but they didn't have a good day and it is down to the manager."
