KIT SPONSORS’ LUNCH 12th April 2006 held at the Sir Jack Hayward Training Ground at Compton

The first major event held at the Compton ground was this year’s kit sponsor’s lunch with some 80 people joining Glenn, Paul Ince and the team for a tour around the impressive facility and lunch with the player whose kit they sponsor.  The training ground, named for Sir Jack, was completed last year, and according to CEO jez Moxey is essential in the recruitment of players.   Jez also encouraged the participants to ask the players why we are 7th in the table and not 1st or 2nd.  9 of us had a great day out and enjoyed Lee Naylor’s company over lunch. (London Wolves sponsor Lee’s home kit).  Lee talked about how he believed that Glenn was the best coach he and most of the Wolves players had ever played under.  Glenn and Paul Ince, Joleon, Mark Davies, Rob Edwards, Rohan Ricketts and Mark Kennedy  were also at the lunch.  Jez also spent 15 minutes with Phil and Nobby in a frank discussion.

A tremendous effort was made by the commercial and catering staff from Molineux led by Steve and Jason and Cliff to transport facilities to the training ground, set up buffet facilities, and import refreshments.  Thanks to Carling who provided the beer!
